The Weekly Grub: 5th August 2015 – The SG50 Edition

We’re firm believers of the notion that a family who eats together, stays together. Since Singapore is undoubtedly one of the hottest foodie capitals in the world, there’s no better time to gorge yourself silly with family and friends than over the SG50 long weekend.

This week’s patriotic edition of the weekly grub includes a community movement to share home-cooked recipes, two delicious dim sum buffets, chili crab with a twist, and a gastronomic adventure by Dom Pérignon.

Cove99

The Chilli Crab has always jostled with Chicken Rice and Laksa for the title of Singapore’s national cuisine, but whatever you may consider the popular crustacean dish to be, it is doubtlessly an integral component of Singapore’s culinary fabric. At Cove 99, the iconic dish will be making a comeback as part of the modern Chinese restaurant’s SG50 dining promotion. Enjoy the scintillating flavours of de-shelled Chilli Crab at $29 (after 50% discount), while slurp up freshly shucked oysters at $5 each to top a hearty dinner off.

Cove 99’s promotion is running from now till Monday, 31 August 2015 or while stocks last. Valid for dine-in only, reservation is advised. There is also a minimum of two oysters per order, per method of preparation.
