1. Discover the joy of short films at The 5th Singapore Short Film Awards

Forget sitting in a cinema for hours and discover some tiny nuggets of film creativity this week with a mix of documentaries, dramas, experimental films and more, being screened throughout this week long event. Be taken on a journey around short films as you devour bite size movie morsels – perfect for all you “I’m just too busy” folk or anyone with an attention deficit problem…and of course…all film lovers!

2. Fill your face with fab food and wine at Australasian and Argentinian wine dinners

Sea bass ceviche with a Sauvignon Blanc and Caramelised Pork Belly with a Pinot Noir are just some of the yummies you can look forward to at The Argentina Wine Experience dinner at Bochinche. Otherwise look forward to playful takes on Laksa, Rendang and Chicken Rice paired with fine Aussie wines at Intrepid Gastro Bar’s G’Day! Shiok Aussie-Sing Wine Dinner. 3. Watch road rage on stage with Poor Thing

You might be guilty of it, you might have been a victim or it or just been an innocent bystander; but now you can watch it on stage with The Necessary Stage’s latest production, Poor Thing, which grapples with the issue of road rage. In a quirky, interactive twist, audiences will be invited to view video clips through social media before and during the performance adding to the true-to-life feel of this innovative play. Just not toooo interactive please!!!

4. Make like a beatnik at Sing Jazz Festival

Four days of scintillating performances descend on our little red dot for the inaugural Singapore International Jazz Festival. We are beyond excited to see the likes of Incognito, James Morrison, India Arie, Natalie Cole, Earth, Wind & Fire take to the stage, and so should you be! Expect toe-tapping, soulful goodness all round.

5. Soak up carnival vibes at Liming Carnival

Feel the vibes of Trinidad and Rio at Lime House’s Sunday carnival party. The folks at Lime House will be heating ‘tings up with rhythm, culture and costumes thanks to a live Caribbean band, Brazilian Samba, DJs playing a medley of carnival sounds, Jerk chicken (YUM!) plus a rum-ilicious cocktail selection. Get ready to shake up your bam bam!
