In this week’s round up of events in Singapore, our favourite creative market – MAAD – is back in town, we get swept up in the escape game craze, are thrilled by daring feats at Le Noir, get all tingly with Opera In the Park and stuff our faces with seafood delights in the name of the Sustainable Seafood Festival. 1. Shun the malls and head to MAAD Market of Artists and Designers
With a wayyyy better selection of unique and creative wares than you will ever EVER find in the shops here, and wayyyy better music to provide your shopping soundtrack thanks to the likes of sets by Inch Chua and L.A.B. ftr Michaela Therese for this edition, if you end up in a mall instead of at MAAD this Friday night, then we’re sorry, we can no longer be friends.

2. Escape from the moon base with the Real Escape Game!
Escape games are all the rage these days and if you haven’t taken part in one, it might be about time you did! If you’re looking for something completely different to do, then escaping from moon base before your oxygen supply runs out in a bid for survival might do the trick.

3. Be thrilled by daring acts courtesy of Le Noir
Back in Singapore by popular demand, this thrilling show brings together some of the most daring acts on earth. With jaw-dropping performances from world class acrobats, musicians, specialty acts, plus comedians, we guarantee Le Noir will have you sitting on the edge of your seats!

4. Be moved by Opera In The Park
There’s nothing like a free concert in the park, and the drama of opera in the outdoors is something not to be missed. The SLO celebrates its 7th season of Opera in the Park at the Singapore Botanic Gardens with excerpts from opera classics like Bizet’s Carmen, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Puccini’s Tosca and Wagner’s Tannhäuser. Bound to send tingles down your spine, pack up a picnic and settle down for an evening of glorious soaring vocals.

5. Fill up on succulent seafood with the Sustainable Seafood Festival
Singapore’s first Sustainable Seafood Festival rolls into town. While it of course carries a very serious message, it also the chance to chow down on a host of specially created sustainable seafood dishes and menus at restaurants across town. Think salmon tartare, Australian king prawns, Patagonian toothfish and lots more tempting (and sustainable) seafood delights!
