It’s that time again – the start of a new week! Don’t let this one pass you by. With superb comedy, amazing art, foodie treats, a street party and a concert in the dark, below is just a handful of happenings in Sing city this week:
1. Laugh til you cry at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival
The superstars of Australia’s biggest comedy festival are coming to Singapore, bringing the world’s best comedy to one show. Catch one of Australia’s hottest comedians, Ronny Chieng, comedy headliner Harley Breen, the acid tongued Joel Creasey, upcoming star Luke McGregor, and banjo playing Annie Edmonds, take to the stage with their acts and raise the roof with laughter!

2. Catch the World Premier of Andy Warhol in China
Check out this exhibition which brings together a selection of Andy Warhol’s works showcasing never-before-revealed photographs taken by Andy Warhol during his first visit to mainland China in 1982, including images of the iconic Forbidden City and Great Wall.

3. Take a trip down memory lane with the Singapore Food Festival
This annual festival is back to celebrate the heart and soul of our gastronomic diversity. Themed ‘A Walk Down Memory Lane’, the festival will feature an array of dining experiences and cuisines that represent Singapore’s rich food legacy at various locations. We’re talking a beach BBQ, a Nyonya Mobile, a Chinese Heritage Feast plus much more!

4. Feel the French spirit at the Bastille Day Road Party
Those lovely folk from Ô Batignolles and Le Comptoir French it up with a night of champagne, wines, crêpes, music and more at their Bastille Day celebration. There’s nothing we love more than a street party – even better when its to celebrate all things French!

5. Experience a Concert in The Dark
Don’s miss this innovative concert series aimed at providing an authentic music experience without the glitz and glamour of visual effects and costumes. Held in complete darkness to mimic what a visually-impaired person would experience, listen and appreciate the music with your ears and heart in what promises to be a truly memorable experience.
