This month’s Tropical Temple will delve deep into underground club music & sub-cultures spreading local vibes and opening global minds from Africa, Latin America & the Caribbean. From the favelas of Brazil to the shantys of Jamaica to the townships of South Africa, a new breed of digital producers have hijacked Hip Hop, House & EDM and warped it with local melodies, music & ideas, creating relentlessly innovative riddims that stir the heart, and altogether new forms of global bass music that provoke the mind. And oh yeah, it’s all REALLY fucking fun to dance to.
As always, this ain’t your mom & pop’s version of “World Music”! Tropical Temple is all about bringing raw energy and real culture, identity and rhythm of the global dance floor to Singapore. Your humble selectors have only this goal in mind: Expand your musical horizons and get your body moving!
Some of the genres you can expect to hear: Baile Funk, Batida, Digital Cumbia, Kuduro, UK Funky, Grime, Carioca Bass, Rasterinha, Tarraxinha, Zouk Bass, Dembow, Kwaito, Afro House, Azonto, Dancehall, Shangaan Electro, Qgom, Coupe D’ecale… and much more crazy shit.
The lineup will feature [WILLIAM J](https://soundcloud.com/william-j) ([Darker Than Wax](https://www.facebook.com/DarkerThanWax) / Canvas), [LITTLE BASTARD](https://www.mixcloud.com/littlebastard/) ([KiloWatt Soundsystem](https://www.facebook.com/KiloWattSoundsystem)), and [DJ Bhayology](https://soundcloud.com/bhayology) (NYC).
