Wanderfolk: C.E.A Festival Debuts in Chengdu, Cruise Vietnam’s Lan Ha Bay, Young Master Invitational Beer Festival Returns

Y Lang Halong Bay Crusing Ship, Vietnam.

The Wuhan coronavirus might have put a dent in your travel plans, but that doesn’t mean you should stop looking out for new destinations and experiences. In this edition of Wanderfolk, there are updates on getting travel insurance, as well as from places like Bintan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

A Wellness Journey with the Ylang on Lan Ha Bay

If you enjoyed touring Ha Long Bay, located just south of it is its less internationally known cousin in Vietnam – Lan Ha Bay. And leading Asian boutique cruise operator Heritage Line has launched a wellness focused voyage on their new 10-berth vessel Ylang in this relatively uncharted marine wonderland; this three-day two-night will see pit stops along the bay’s white sand beaches, as well as soft hiking and cycling on pristine Cat Ba Island. On board, look forward to suites featuring Asian-Vietnamese design with French colonial accents, a full fledged spa, morning tai chi lessions, and fresh, light Vietnamese cuisine served in the ship’s restaurant.

For bookings and more information, see Heritage Line’s website.

Young Master Invitational Beer Festival Returns in this May

Young Master Invitational Beer Festival 2019 at House 1881

If your idea of a great holiday is sampling beers from more than 30 of the best breweries around the world, the Young Master Invitational Beer Festival weekend has got you covered. Taking place in Hong Kong at the end of May, the festival sees four themed sessions, each three hours long to drink your fill. Saturday kicks off with hoppy beers while the second session is Session & Strength – think pilsners and summer ales to double IPAs and barley wine). On Sunday, expect fruity and sour beers; the brewers will be free-styling the last session (potentially whacky stuff that didn’t fit in the previous three categories). Festival line-up to be announced!

Young Master Invitational Beer Festival is happening 30-31 May 2020 at House 1881, 2A Canton Road, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. Tickets and more information here.
