Lloyd’s Inn Bali

The popular Lloyd’s Inn brand from Singapore has sailed to new shores with the opening of its first overseas property in Seminyak — mere minutes from Double Six Beach. Similar to its big sister, the Bali boutique hotel keeps the same minimalist architecture and monochromatic tones while boasting a new sky bridge that hangs over a garden oasis filled with trees reaching towards the sky. Other highlights include sky tubs and water hammocks in the pool so you can watch the sun set, cubby pods for travellers to mingle, and a library lounge. The 101-room property also introduces the surreal Canopy Spa as well as Opeum, a detox-focused restaurant helmed by MasterChef Singapore finalist Sharon Gonzago.

Festival de Cannes Film Week at K11 MUSEA this November

You don’t need us to tell you what Cannes is, do you? The world-renowned film festival has joined forces with Hong Kong’s K11 MUSEA to bring the essence of Cannes to the neon city this November. Festival de Cannes Film Week makes its Asian debut with a stellar lineup of six feature films from the 2019 Cannes Official Selection. Attendees can expect to rub shoulders with directors and actors, as well as masterclasses and Q&As hosted by some of cinema’s brightest lights. Has there been a better opportunity to experience the best of the world’s film industry in Hong Kong?

Finnair Brings Nordic Flavours by Signature Chef Tommy Myllymaki for Singapore-Helsinki Route

If you’re flying the Singapore-Helsinki route on Finnair from June to September, you’re in luck. In celebration of the eighth birthday of the airline’s Singapore-Helsinki route, business class passengers can enjoy a new Summer Menu developed by Swedish chef Tommy Myllymäki, who’s been nominated Sweden’s ‘Chef of the Year’ and currently directs five restaurants in Stockholm. Featuring the best of Nordic flavours, you’ll see dishes like Salmon Tartar with marinated mushrooms and fresh trout roe, and Braised Beef Cheek with red wine sauce and truffle mashed potatoes. It really is a little piece of the Nordics on board.

Finnair’s new Summer Menu will be available to customers flying the Singapore-Helsinki route on business class from 6 June to 5 September 2019.
