Inspired by Buddhism’s ‘Seven Ways of Enlightenment’ in conjunction with the spa’s own holistic wellness beliefs, each treatment package will feature traditional Khmer healing practices and traditions. For one, the five-hour Samadhi treatment involves a floral foot ritual, Chi Nei Tsang massage, Golden Cocoon silk facial, Tibetan praying wheel meditation, and a monk blessing ceremony. Three-Michelin Star Chef Mauro Colagreco To Open Côte Restaurant At Capella Bangkok

Remember Mauro Colagreco, the celebrated chef behind the top winner, Mirazur, on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list? He’s going to open a new restaurant, Côte at the Capella Bangkok, bringing his exception culinary skills to banks of the Chao Phraya River. Showcasing a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional recipes and culinary heritage from the French and Italian Riviera between Nice and Genoa, Côte will use products from the farms around Bangkok. Not much details are out at the moment, but word is that Chef Davide Garavaglia — Colagreco’s sous chef — will move from Menton to the Thai capital to run the restaurant.

Launching Soon: The Clubhouse at Ulu

The award-winning Balinese beach club Ulu Cliffhouse now has a sister property — well, soon enough anyway. With its launch planned for September this year, The Clubhouse at Ulu is the latest project by Asian hospitality group M. Group. That’s seven individually-appointed suites named after and inspired by the seven equally stunning surf breaks that surround the property, including Padang Padang, Impossibles, and Racetracks. Colourful four poster beds, nomad-inspired artwork, freestanding baths, and 1950s California-style furnishings are just some of the experiences guests can expect, alongside cocktail bars with private bartenders and dedicated Clubhouse ‘hosts’.

To celebrate its launch, The Clubhouse at Ulu is offering a special ‘Launch at The Clubhouse’ package from US$300++ per night for two guests for stays between 2 December and 15 December 2019. More details here.
