Wanderfolk: Singapore Air Resumes Direct Flights to NYC, Klook’s Year End Sale, Banyan Tree Phuket Launches Sanctuary Well-being

As much as year end travelling might be hindered by overbooked flights, long lines at the customs, and crying children of all ages (it’s already starting, even in mid October), there’s no reason not to go away when half of Singapore is shutting down anyway. Plan ahead with new sales and hospitality openings on this edition of Wanderfolk.

Taking photos for the ‘gram on vacation is the most natural thing to do these days, which is why the folks at Klook have come up with a list of the most photographed travel experiences in Asia from their platform and running a year-end sale where travellers get to save up to $70 from now till 31 December 2018! Topping the list is South Korea’s Demilitarised Zone, while hanbok rentals in Seoul will let K-drama fans live out their fantasies. The well-preserved Forbidden City in Beijing is also a favourite for its imposing architecture – pre-booking is essential since only 80,000 visitors are allowed daily. Other cities on the list include Kyoto, Taipei, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.

Thereafter, daily operations will begin. The flight of about 16,700 kilomeres will see a travelling time of up to 18 hours and 45 mintues.
