Launched: Gibson’s World Collaboration Menu

Beachside Boardwalk

In celebration of its first anniversary, the folks at Gibson have collaborated with DIAGEO and bartending luminaries from all over the world for a new cocktail menu. For instance, Gibson’s own Aki Eguchi has worked with Michio Kaneko (of Lamp Bar in Nara) to come up with an improved Gibson cocktail made with their specially concocted Ginjo sake vermouth while Sugarhall’s Rhyse Borland has teamed up with Spain’s David Rios (winner of DIAGEO Global World Class 2013) for Beachside Boardwalk, featuring tequila, sherry, watermelon granita, and edible sand. All cocktails are priced at $23++ each.

Gibson is located at Level 2, 20 Bukit Pasoh Road, Singapore 089834, p. +65 9114 8385. Open Mon-Thu 6pm-1am, Fri-Sat 6pm-2am. Closed Sun.

New Fall Menu at Morton’s The Steakhouse

Prime Steak Tartare

Besides recently extending their hours for Sunday lunch, Morton’s has also launched their fall menu. Kick off with a perfectly seasoned Prime Steak Tartare ($33) with pickled red onions, pickled cucumbers, and Dijon mustard, before moving on to a succulent 10-ounce American Wagyu Ribeye Steak ($118) from Snake River Farms. Pair your steak with two new side dishes – Blue Cheese Mashed Potatoes with Nueske’s Bacon ($28) and in our opinion, the star of the seasonal menu, the earthy Roasted Hen of The Woods Mushrooms ($23) from Japan. Round up the meal with a White Chocolate Pecan Bread Pudding ($35) with bourbon caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.

Morton’s The Steakhouse is located at Fourth Storey, Mandarin Oriental Singapore, 5 Raffles Avenue, Singapore 039797, p. +65 6339 3740. Open Mon-Sat 5.30pm-11pm, Sun 12pm-9pm.
