With $9 food and drinks at Long Chim and abalone dishes at Shangri La Hotel, the last week of March is truly turning out to be an exciting one. Here are 5 things to eat and drink this week.

High Tea at Goodwood Park Hotel

Love high tea but not the high prices? Not to worry, Goodwood Park Hotel’s here to sort you out with their affordable high tea buffet sets. Local delights like Laksa and Nonya Kueh are available at in-house bistro Coffee Lounge, whilst L’Espresso is offering an assortment of sandwiches, pastries, scones and desserts for diners. At Coffee Lounge, two paying adults can get a complimentary meal for a single child or adult. As for L’Espresso, three paying adults are required to enjoy the same promotion.

This promotion is only valid from Mondays to Thursdays and is running till 28 April 2016.

Price (Coffee Lounge): $28++/adult, $14++/child. Price (L’Espresso): $45++/adult; $22.50++/child (2 servings of coffee or TWG tea), $68++/adult (glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne & 2 servings of coffee or TWG tea).

New Menu at inITALY Bar Ristorante

Inspired by the rustic flavours of the Italian countryside, inITALY Bar Ristorante is rolling out a brand-new menu that focuses on traditional Italian dishes. Far from being run-of-the-mill, the new menu adds a contemporary edge to age-old recipes. An example of this is the Ravioli di Ossobuco in Gremolata; a veal-infused ravioli that is doused in rich saffron sauce, and the Risoni al Nero; a dish that comprises of little grains of pasta that are bathed in squid ink gravy and topped with crispy soft shell crab.

Abalone Dishes at Shangri La’s Shang Palace

It’s abalone season in Australia right now, so Executive Chef Steven Ng at Shang Palace has come up with 12 different dishes highlighting the succulent sweetness of this shellfish. Highlights include the uniquely Singaporean Australian Abalone, Maw and Sea Cucumber drenched in curry sauce as well as the Sweet and Sour Fresh Abalone Cube. Prices for the a la carte selections start from $40++.

Chef Alexandre Gauthier at La Brasserie

Michelin-starred chefs are highly regarded for their talent, innovation and work ethic. A one Michelin-starred chef from La Grenouillère in France, Chef Alexandre Gauthier, is no different. From 29 March to 2 April 2016, his guest stint at the Fullerton Bay Hotel’s modern European restaurant La Brasserie will see him serving up some of his signature creations, along with a contemporary versions of typical French Haute cuisine. Expect to fork out $148++ for a set dinner while a la carte dishes start from $38++ for both lunch and dinner.

Celebrate Long Chim’s One Year Anniversary

The number nine signifies ‘luck’ and the notion of ‘moving forward’ in Thailand, which is why David Thompson’s Long Chim will be offering selected food and drink items for the price of $9 in celebration of its first anniversary at Marina Bay Sands on 30 March 2016. Look forward to Thai street food delights like green curry of chicken, grilled pork skewers and crunchy prawn cakes at the party, and wash it all down with a host of beer, wines and cocktails.
