This week, there’s something for everyone. The carnivores will have a field day at FYR Cycene Ond Drinc while the fine-dining lovers can expect new dishes at Bacchanalia. There’s also nourishing double boiled soups at Min Jiang, a new tapas menu at Me@OUE, and seasonal white asparagus at mezza9.

Stone Age Eats at FYR Cycene Ond Drinc

Pronounced “fire kitchen and drink”, this casual restaurant is celebrating their first anniversary with the launch of The Caveman’s Supper ($150). Enough to feed four to five people, this all-hands-on-deck experience is a carnivore’s dream with suckling pig, whole chicken, beef short ribs, lamb ribs, pork belly, tripe, and marrow bones! This delectable platter is accompanied by sides (roasted veggies, potatoes, and bacon), as well as sauces like green chili pesto. For dessert, indulge in velvety Bacon Vanilla Ice Cream.

The Kitchen at Bacchanalia – Launched

Always on a quest to create global yet familiar flavours with the finest ingredients, Chef Ivan Brehm and his team at Bacchanalia have come up with new dishes for the launch of The Kitchen at Bacchanalia, which sees diners eating in the middle of all the culinary action. Dishes like Uni and Chocolate Pasta (Bafun sea urchin and chocolate buckwheat pasta), Coconut Risotto, and Wagyu au Poivre Vert (Blackmore Wagyu with spiced beef jus) have made their way on to the establishment’s desgustation menus (three-course $75, five-course $125, and seven-course $165).

Beef Tartare on Toast

Those on the hunt for after work tipples with a view; check out Me@OUE. The open-kitchen-concept restaurant and rooftop lounge has refreshed their cocktail and tapas offerings. Highlights of the tapas selection include Shishamo Tempura with togarashi mayonnaise, Beef Tartare on toast, and Crispy Salmon Skin with salted egg yolk. Thirsty? Try the Old Tom, Tanqueray 10 shaken with thyme liquer, passion fruit syrup, egg white, and kinome leaves.

Double Boiled Soups at Min Jiang

Double Boiled Duck Soup with ‘Ching Bo Leung’

Is the unpredictable climate getting to you? Brimming with Chinese herbs and wholesome ingredients, Min Jiang’s nourishing double-boiled Chinese soups might just be the key. From now till 17 June 2016, two soup selections ($16 or $18 per individual portion) are available on rotation each week. Expect broths like Double Boiled Kampong Chicken Soup with Pork Tendon, Conch, and Coconut, Double Boiled Duck Soup with ‘Ching Bo Leung’, and Doubled Boiled Ginseng Chicken Soup.

Rhine Valley White Asparagus at mezza9

From now to 15 May 2016, Rhine Valley’s white asparagus will be available at mezza9. The specially mounted menu will feature the rare vegetable in dishes like Poached White Asparagus Spears with hollandaise sauce ($28), White Asparagus and Champagne Ham Gratin ($38), and White Asparagus Cream Soup with smoked Galway Bay Atlantic salmon ($18).
