Weekly Grub: 5 Things To Eat And Drink In Singapore This Week

The new year often signals new beginnings, and that rings true with new food offerings about town. Venture into a brand new chapter at Preludio, or celebrate a new era at Brasserie Les Saveurs. With Valentine’s Day coming up, love birds can also share a sticky-sweet dessert with Ben & Jerry’s newly-launched Netflix original flavour.

Journey Through Time at Preludio

One year on from their debut, Preludio unveils a brand new chapter: Time. Executive Chef Fernando Arévalo pays homage to his Latin American roots in The Time Machine, a course consisting of five petit servings spotlighting different ingredients and cooking methods. With an emphasis on fresh seasonal produce, be treated to a playful medley of flavours, textures and colours. Pair your dishes with ‘scales of time’, a wine programme curated by Chip Steel. Choose bottles from sections such as Age of Vine – all above 70 years old – or Time to Drink Up, which features rare wines approaching their prime. Running its course over four seasons, Preludio will offer a new menu at the turn of each season. The 4-course Executive Set Lunch starts at S$58++.

Preludio is located at Frasers Tower, 182 Cecil St #03-01/02, Singapore 069547, p. +65 6904 5686. Open Mon-Fri 11.30am – 2.30pm and 6pm – 10pm, Sat 6pm – 10pm. Closed Sun and Public Holidays.

This new farm-to-table menu offers simple, comforting dishes crafted from locally farmed produce, emphasising their commitment to a sustainable food system. Or go for the Rye on Rye (S$16), featuring Young Master’s oak-infused rye ale, Rye on Wood, complemented by the  flavours of vanilla, honey and spice in Bulleit Rye whiskey.
