The Weekly Grub: 5 Things to Eat & Drink This Week

This week, grab your seats for an exclusive launch dinner at boCHINche, and another one with PengWine’s CEO Chris Milliken. Moosehead Kitchen sees a new menu, and French cafe Antoinette starts a pop-up at Raffles City.

Six Hands Dinner at boCHINche’s New Location

The multi-cultural 7-course tasting menu will pay tribute to each chef’s Latin American heritage, featuring dishes such as chef Daniel’s Peruvian seafood ceviche with smoked aji Amarillo, chef Diego’s Sweet potato leaves and ricotta tortellini with pea, broad beans and whey butter, and chef Ivan’s “Quindim” – a traditional Brazilian egg custard dessert served with coconut sorbet.

The Six Hands Dinner is happening on Sunday, 26 June 2016, 7.30pm. For enquiries or reservations, please email to 6handsdinner@bochinche.com.sg. boCHINche is located at #01-02 115 Amoy Street, Singapore 069935, p. 6235 4990.

Moosehead Kitchen’s New Mediterranean Dinner Menu

The hip kitchen-bar Moosehead marks its third year of evolution with a new look, hot new chef, and a street-licious new dinner menu – designed with the bistro’s long-standing Inka oven in mind. Along with its new sleek bistro-style furniture and comfy banquettes comes Scottish-born head chef Seumas Smith, his international resume including tenure at 1-Michelin starred Lords of the Manor and 2-Michelin starred Dinner by Heston.

Think melt-in-the-mouth Slow-cooked pork belly with apple roast turnips and cavalo nero and super tender 4-hour slow-cooked beef cheek with celeriac. For the sides, two amazing addition are the char-grilled broccolini with hoisin aioli and roasted peanuts, and a sinfully-delicious bone marrow mash with bone marrow reduction. And for dessert: a dreamy roasted white pear with citrus yoghurt and pistachio. Mmmm.

Moosehead Kitchen is located at 110 Telok Ayer St, Singapore 068579, p. 6636 8055. Open Mon-Fri 11.30am – 2.30am, 6pm – 10.30pm, Sat 6pm – 10.30pm. Read our full review here.
