Neon Pigeon Introduces 13 New Dishes

Neon Pigeon, the laid-back Japanese izakaya along Singapore’s former red light district, has added a spanking 13 new dishes to its sharing plates menu, designed by Chef Justin Hammond to surprise the eye just as it does your palate. Expect creations that stay true to Japanese flavours, and at the same time, break away from traditions to create exceptionally unique sensations – including the likes of Celery Tsukemono, Baby Scallops, Charcoal-grilled Barracuda, Miso Grilled Clams, Octopus Leg, Duck Liver Okonomiyaki, and for dessert, a tangy Japanese Citrus Curd.

A Hearty Brunch of Gourmet Sandwiches At District 10

Come the weekend, embrace a selection of new gourmet sandwiches at District 10 Bar & Restaurant as part of its ongoing weekend brunch. Enjoy the cheesy goodness of the Duck Confit Sandwich ($18) – made with pulled duck confit, melted provolone and mozzarella on parmesan-crusted sourdough – and the Hawaiian-inspired Grilled BBQ Pork and Pineapple Sandwich ($16). Other must-tries include the Tuna Sandwich ($14 – it’s more of a croissant, really) or Chicken with Pancetta and Mushroom Sandwich ($16), served with a lovely button mushroom salsa.

Special Black Truffle Dinners by Nandu Jubany at FOC Restaurants

Nandu Jubany – the much-lauded Spanish chef behind the three FOC restaurants – will be personally helming his kitchens for three days next week for three unique black truffle menus. On 6 March, FOC Hongkong Street sees a magnificent seven-course menu ($228++ per person) with dishes like Shrimp Risotto with Black Truffle and Millefeuilles with Foie Gras, Caramelized Apple and Black Truffle.

It’s a more casual affair on 7 March at the all-day bodega Pim Pam by FOC, seeing a la carte specials such as Spanish Estrellados Scrambled Eggs with Jamon Iberico and Black Truffle. At FOC Sentosa on 8 March, look forward to a convivial nine-course dinner ($228++ per person) that’s all about sharing, featuring plates like Lamb Papillote with Seasonal Vegetables and Black Truffle.

There’s never going to be a dull moment at Singapore’s first ever Sunday Jazz Brunch, a concept that’s currently trending in cities like New York and London. Amidst the backdrop of groovy live jazz music from Singapore’s brightest talents, imbibe free-flow champagne, feast on all-you-can-eat raclette cheese, meats from live carving stations, and dishes like Pork Ribs, Portobello Stacks, Fluffy Pancake, Eggs Benedict and the BB King Cheese Burger. To top it off, dedicated kids entertainers will be on hand to enthral the younglings on Sundays. Priced at $98++ (free-flow alcohol), $78++ (non-alcoholic), and $16++ for the littlies.
