Speak.

(Benjamin Chow)

Speak is organized by a new poetry collective that seeks to give the people a voice. It is a platform for writers to share their poetry and love for the spoken word- to foster a community of individuals who want to stand up for what they believe in and share the personal stories that need to be heard.

Speak is our attempt to break into the club scene, to seed the growth of a new movement. To shed light in a dark room, where bedroom speakers come out into the open.

In all humbleness we ask of you to join us. Come Speak with us.

Benjamin Chow.

An actor, a musician and a spoken word artist who has been featured at a variety of poetry events held at The Arts House, BluJaz and others. He is currently training at Lasalle College of the Arts as an Actor and will graduate within the year. He intends to continue working with both spoken word artists and practitioners of the theatre in this country to devise work and find a means to entertain, educate and inform as best he can, through authentic voices. He believes that all the world’s a playground, and all the men and women in it, merely children.

Gary is one of those proverbial jack of all trades… you know the rest. When not writing about lifestyle and culture, he dabbles in photography, graphic design, plays four instruments and is a professional wearer of bowties. His greatest weakness: spending more money on clothes than he probably should. Find him across the social world as @grimlay
