This week, look forward to a combination of online and in-person activities. Watch performances both online and offline, indulge yourself in some theatre and some art, and tickle all your senses with a perfume-food double whammy. Sentosa is also offering a huge range of experiences for the holiday season!

Watch Charlie, an Interactive Play from the Melbourne Fringe Online

This award-winning intimate, interactive play by Singaporean artist Victoria Chen is making its online debut this month November as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. This 15-minute performance starts with a single audience member interacting with Charlie, a twelve-year-old brought up to believe there is danger beyond her room. The rest of the performance depends on how the audience member describes the world we live in to her. What would you say to her? How do you explain the difficult circumstances we live in to a child with no other frame of reference but your words?

Charlie will be taking place over Zoom from 12 November to 28 November as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival. Get tickets here for A$11.50 – A$15.

Celebrate and Learn About Iconic Women in Art and Science

Women’s achievements are often overshadowed by men’s, whether those men are their colleagues, spouses or children. This series of online and in-person programs is now here to showcase women trail-blazers in the fields of art and science through performances, films, virtual tours and more. Come celebrate the women who defied patriarchy and defied all expectations, including Anna Campbell Bliss, Hilma af Klint, Zaha Hadid and more.

Women of Art and Science will be taking place at the ArtScience Museum and online till 27 November. ArtScience Museum is located at 6 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018974.

Watch a Play Based on Bestselling Memoir Tuesdays with Morrie

Held at the Singapore Repertory Theatre and performed by Remesh Panicker and Benjamin Chow, this play based on Mitch Albom’s best-selling memoir is just as powerful and emotionally charged as the book was. In this play, a journalist and his mentor reunite due to the mentor’s chronic illness, and the journalist learns the most important lesson his mentor has ever taught him – how to live. Due to high demand, more shows have been added so make sure you catch it.

Go on an Aromatic, Gastronomic Journey

Let AWAKE guide you through an absolute feast by a perfumer and show you how scents, details and flavours change with different contexts and stimuli. Make Time for a Holiday with Sentosa this End of Year Season

The folks at Sentosa are launching a Sentosa Insider campaign to encourage us to make some time to rest and relax, as we’re nearing the end of a stressful year. Try your hand at making wax figures at Madame Tussauds, or learn about marine conservation on Sentosa’s beaches.
