Art Day Out! – Gillman Barrack’s Saturday open house – will return in November, and is the art enclave’s last open house event for the year. This time round, the highlight is a joint Gillman Barracks galleries group show titled UNDER 20 – participating gallery will offer for sale a special selection of art works and merchandise including prints, photographs, drawings and books.
NTU CCA Singapore will feature Jam Session #2, a live performance by arachnids and local artist Bani Haykal as part of public programming under its new exhibition Tomás Saraceno: Arachnid Orchestra. Jam Sessions. Under its Residencies: OPEN series, visitors can also explore studios of their artists-in-residence and participate in an artist workshop.
In addition to the art offerings, there will be a mini design and book fair. Red Baron will also host a Jamaican-themed music and BBQ street party in collaboration with the Singapura Dub Club, while Timbre @ Gillman will hold a Pirates edition of its children-friendly Saturday Social BBQ.
Art Day Out! is happening on Saturday, 7 November 2015 at Gillman Barracks from 2pm to 8pm. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
