Presented by Dialogue in the Dark, a social enterprise under Ngee Ann Polytechnic that supports the employment and development of the visually impaired and Ace 99 Cultural Pte Ltd, Concert in the Dark is a innovative concert series aimed at providing an authentic music experience without the glitz and glamour of visual effects and costumes. Held in complete darkness to mimic what a visually-impaired person would experience, the audience need only to listen and appreciate the music with their ears and their heart.
The theme of Concert in the Dark 2014 is ‘The Sound of Colours’. Apart from the featured celebrities, the 2-hour concert will also showcase Dialogue in the Dark’s visually-impaired talents, mystery performances by several well-known local artistes and include songs by choral groups from the Philippines, Indonesia, China, New Zealand and Singapore!
Besides raising awareness of the difficulties that the visually-impaired face, proceeds from Concert in the Dark will be channelled to support the employment of the visually-impaired guides at Dialogue in the Dark. So do your part and support a meaningful event. The show promises a truly memorable experience!
