Ohhhhhhhh yeah ZoukOut is back! The biggest, baddest beach party that pays glorious and rampant homage to all things dance, music and hedonism is only two weeks away, and we’re gearing up for two days of epic partying along with an estimated 20,000 revellers…woah, that’s a whole lot of party right there!
For those that say Singapore can’t do festivals and parties well, ZoukOut is like a big middle finger in absolute defiance; because every year, come rain or shine and without fail, a massive party descends on Siloso beach proving that Singapore really does have the chops to host one of the biggest outdoor music festivals in Asia.
This year they are celebrating 13 years of their ‘go hard or go home’ mentality and the theme is Metamorphosis…as they promise to satiate your inner hunger for a festival experience unlike any other and take you into the realm of the transformed. “Immerse yourselves fully; escape from your humdrum reality and just for 2 nights, suspend disbelief for only those who have a will, have a way to change.” Ooooooh ok!
With a strong line up of acts that span the genres of electronic dance music like Afrojack, Example & DJ Wire, 12th Planet, Benga, Aldrin, Danny Avila, Ferry Corsten, Dash Berlin, Lee Foss, Martin Solveig, NERVO, Jeremy Boon and many many more, you’re pretty much guaranteed to be dancing from dusk till dawn.
We say, this is an experience that’s not to be missed. And if you’re a non-stop party machine, here’s a few suggestions of what to do once the music stops…
Kith Cafe
If you’re feeling a little delicate but the beat pounding in your head won’t let you sleep, head over to Kith Cafe in Sentosa Cove which opens at 7am for a double shot coffee and a warm welcome. The zen-like surrounds of the cove may be just what you need to send you off into a sweet slumber….where you can dream of being filthy rich and having your own yacht!
Tanjong Beach Club
If the idea of going cold turkey is worrying and you’re planning to keep your blood-alchohol levels topped up, head over to Tanjong which opens at 10am, for a mojito and some truffle fries – well, you’ll need a little sustenance. Grab a day bed, have a snooze and let the chilled beats prepare you for another night of Zouk-ing!
Universal Studios
Still got a few woooohooooo’s left in you? Get your adrenaline pumping with a roller coaster ride and best of all, you’ll beat the queues with your promptness at the gate! Just try not to let your hangover show too much as, you know…the kids. 🙂
If you’re thinking, are you crazy! Rest is what I will need, then get your beauty sleep and prepare for round 2. See you there Nomads!
