A classy Italian Trattoria in the heart of the city, Prego at Fairmont Singapore has been serving up delectable Italian cuisine for the best part of two decades. This crowd pleaser of a restaurant is not one to rest on its laurels though; with the introduction of Chef de Cuisine Antonio Facchinetti’s Pranzo Italiano feast, foodies have a new place to check out for Sunday brunch!

Originally from Ponte di Legno, Brescia, Chef Antonio is paying homage to his motherland and the Italian notion of la dolce vita (literally the sweet life, which is all about enjoying the good things in life) with a tantalising arsenal of 40 homely, traditional Italian dishes. Complemented by a buffet line of fresh seafood, Italian antipasti, and desserts, diners can expect a gastronomic adventure of epic proportions awaiting to unfold.

Look forward to Prego’s signature pasta dishes such as a Crab and Lobster Ravioli in creamy bisque sauce and fresh chives, Potato Gnocchi with gorgonzola and garlic toasted breadcrumbs, and mouthwatering Risotto Saffron topped with pan-seared scallops and balsamic glaze.

Seafood lovers will adore the succulent Sautéed Prawns served with tomato sofrito and creamy polenta or the Crispy Calamari with spice tomato salsa on the side. Carnivores can sink their teeth into a juicy Herbed Roast Beef with rosemary gravy and the Roasted Leg of Lamb with farro salad and roasted capsicums.

In the mood for pizza? For $10++, diners can tuck into in a range of classic pizzas such as Margherita and Parma Ham that’ll warm hearts and bellies! If you’d like to really indulge yourselves, there are other dishes on the menu that are worth forking out a little more. For instance the Pan Seared Foie Gras in a black berry wine reduction with a $10 supplement. Those who love their squid ink pastas will no doubt dig into the Tonnarelli al Nero with tiger prawns, chilli, garlic, and San Marzano tomato sauce with great relish!

Priced at $78++ per adult and $39++ per child, the Pranzo Italiano feast is available every Sunday from 12.30pm to 3.00pm.
Adults also have the option of topping up $10++ for a glass of wine from the wine trolley or free flow non-alcoholic drinks; alternatively, it’s $108++ per person for brunch and free-flowing wines.
