Golden Rules by Louie Cordero

With his work depicting monsters and zombies from Filipino mythology, you could say Filipino artist Louie Cordero has an exceptional style of work. Cordero frequently includes blood, gore, and military imagery to reflect the eclectic and often violent mix of indigenous culture with American, Spanish, and Asian legacies.

Golden Rules will feature the works that has been inspired by Cordero’s residency in Thailand, particularly Thailand’s temples and cultural attractions. Cordero’s love for folk music and northeastern-style songs also fuel inspiration for his works, which then allows him to create paintings within a local context.

This event will take place until 30 May 2015 at the Bangkok University Gallery (BUG).

Opening Hours are from 10am – 7pm. Admission is free.
