Mark your calendar and join us as we celebrate the Singaporean Hari Raya at the iconic month-long Hari Raya Light Up!
As a multi-cultural society, Hari Raya celebrations in Singapore have evolved in various ways. For one, most Muslims here celebrate Hari Raya for an entire month, invite their non-Malay friends and neighbours to their homes, and flock to Geylang Serai to enjoy the uniquely delicious Singaporean delicacies.
Hara Raya is a significantly joyous occasion amongst the Malay Community, this is where the street turns glittery with the colourful lights and sounds in celebration of Hari Raya Puasa and the month of Ramadan, which is deeply rooted in tradition and religion.
Come on down to Geylang Serai and embrace our Singaporean way of celebrating Hari Raya at Hari Raya Light Up 2015!
The event will take place Saturday, 13 June 2015 from 7pm onwards at the Geylang Serai area (Sims Avenue and Geylang Road.
