Istana Art Event 2015

The Istana Art Eventis an annual community outreach programme organised by the Singapore Art Museum in conjunction with the Istana National Day Open House. It seeks to cultivate a greater appreciation of the arts and our national heritage by encouraging families and children to commemorate our nation’s independence through arts and cultural activities within the Istana grounds.

Istana Art Event is anchored by the Arts and Heritage Village and the popular On-the-Spot Art Competition, themed ‘Once Upon This Island’. The 2015 edition of Istana Art Event aims to enrich the community’s creativity, passion for the arts and appreciation for Singapore’s heritage. This year, the event will feature an array of free, fun-filled art activities at 11 stations organised by arts and heritage institutions in the Arts and Heritage Village.

The event will take place on Sunday, 2 August 2015 from 9am – 5pm at the Istana Grounds (Entrance to Istana grounds via Orchard main gate).

Do note the Istana Admission Hours:8.30am –6pm.
