Leafhopper Project — Visual Anthropology

I take photographs but it’s all about the people…..

David Simon Martret (1984) and Blanca Galindo (1984) met each other at the Emergent Festival 2011, where both of them were showing their photography works. In the second half of 2012, they decided to combine their visions and work together developing different photography projects. In December 2012 they accomplished a project based on impressions of the city of Saint Petersburg that will be released as a self published book. Since 2013, they have been living in Kuantan (Malaysia) carrying out an exhibition and a workshop for Museum Pahang, they got finalist on the KL International Photo Awards.

They are in Singapore collaborating with billionBRICKS to capture the images of a city which is a real manifestation of the vision of a world where no one is homeless.

The Hub Singapore curates monthly exhibtions showcasing social engaging artists, supporting emerging artists and bring to light powerful and provocative art. Get up close and personal with photographers, sculptors, illustrators or spoken word artists at feature events.
