If you had ever wished you could walk into a gathering of great musicians, and watch them work together, blending their styles and individual flair into a raw and uninhibited musical broth; then pray June comes quickly. That is when T’ang Quartet’s new concert series, Stringfellows, kicks off, lining up the Fab Four with like-minded professional musicians in a mid-day musical pick-me-up with sweet treats from Schubert, Wolf and Borodin, before rounding off the siesta with Mendelssohn.
And, of course, this gives the guys a perfect excuse to get four beautiful women − Elizabeth Tan (cello), Lillian Wang (violin), Tang Tee Tong (violin) and Thian Ai Wen (viola) − on stage for a tête-à-tête of sorts, to get the series started. Oh well, boys will be boys.
