The Pillowman by Martin McDonagh

The Pillowman follows the interrogation of writer Katurian by two detectives. Katurian has been accused of commiting a spate of murders in his town, which have been carried out in ways that are eerily similar to events and descriptions in the very own stories he has written in the past. Set in a totalitarian state and peppered with wonderfully twisted characters, The Pillowman puts a dark spin on seemingly familiar fairy tales, and forces us to question the role of the artist.
