The Screening Room presents A Tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman

Monday, March 03, 2014 – Saturday, March 29, 2014

2 Feb 2014 saw the passing of one of Hollywood’s most consummate actors – Philip Seymour Hoffman. His pure talent mixed with his dynamism allowed him to pull-off show-stealing performances in supporting roles and he was also intensely magnetic as a leading man. The New York Times referred to him as “perhaps the most ambitious and widely admired American actor of his generation”. Philip Seymour Hoffman was loved and praised by many and he will be greatly missed. All through the month of March, as a tribute to his memory, Screening Room will be showing films that display some of Hoffman’s most revered roles as an actor: Synecdoche, New York, The Boat That Rocked and The Master.
