Salt Grill & Sky Bar: Luke Mangan in Singapore

Celebrity Chef Luke Mangan will be jetting into town on 24 March 2015 for a special dinner showcase of his modern Australian cuisine. Expect the 6-course menu to feature the likes of Red Wine Poached Barramundi with almond cream, prunes, grains, and sorrel, as well as Rangers Valley Black Market Striploin with daikon, basil, ginger, and horseradish broth. Priced at $280 nett per person, each course of the epicurean set dinner is paired with exquisite Australian Petaluma wine.

Tanuki Raw’s New Lunch Bowls

Looking for a value lunch in Orchard Road? Check out Tanuki Raw‘s yummy new lunch bowls that are guaranteed to fill you up (but not leave you in a food coma!). Ranging from $12 to $17.80, the six different options include crowd pleasers like the Chirashi Don featuring a selection of seasonal sashimi and the Truffle Yakiniku Don with pan-seared Black Angus short rib.

Hong Kong Dim Sum Feast at Wan Hao

The art of dim sum is deeply ingrained in the Cantonese style of cooking, especially in the Chinese diaspora in Hong Kong. From 9-22 March 2015 (11am-3pm daily, from $3++ per dish), Wan Hao Chinese Restaurant at Marriott Singapore will be hosting Chefs Chow Shing Yip and Liu Wai Hung from JW Marriott Hong Kong, who’ll be presenting a scrumptious ensemble of dim sum creations. Try authentic and nouveau Cantonese flavours through dishes like Golden Abalone & Taro Puff and Baked BBQ Pork & Egg White Puff.

Master Chef Jean-Yves Leuranguer in Singapore

In celebration of the inaugural Salon Gourmet, a food festival celebrating the best of European culinary tradition and produce, Raffles Hotel will be hosting Chef Jean-Yves Leuranguer, who oversees all dining establishments under Hôtel Fouquet’s Barrière in Paris, including the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Diane. He’ll be serving up a 5-course degustation menu ($198++ per person) at Raffles Grill focused on modern French gastronomy on 17 and 19-21 March 2015. Guests can look forward to delectable dishes like Sea Urchin and Alaskan King Crab with lemon, fennel and Kristal caviar.

Procacci’s New Menu

The Singapore outpost of Procacci in Florence, a century old establishment famed for its gourmet truffle specialities, paninis, and Marchesi Antinori wines, has followed up it’s new look with a refreshed menu. Additions to the menu includes the Tartare di Tonno e Caviale ($30), a tartare of yellowfin tuna atop diced avocado and crowned with raw egg yolk and a spoonful of sturgeon caviar, and Costolette D’ Agnello ($48), sous-vide thick-cut lamb chops marinated with five-spice crumbs and served with crushed minted peas, roasted tomatoes, baby spinach, and Barolo red wine sauce.
