Entitled, ‘Translations: Storytelling from the Word to the Voice’, the Singapore International Storytelling Festival (SISF 2014) celebrates oral traditions and folk tales from Singapore and around the world. Featuring guest storytellers and local artists, the festival promises a rich programme comprising the Asian Congress of Storytellers, a two-day master class commemorating William Shakespeare’s 450th anniversary, plus performances and workshops for both adults and children. The festival is organised by the National Book Development Council of Singapore and runs from 1 to 9 September at The Arts House.
