Organised by the NTUC Care & Share Department, the annual U Care Back to School Fair 2014 is back to ready parents and kids alike for the new school year. An admirable aspect of the fair is the initiative to foster the love for reading in children. This year’s theme is called “Where Stories Come Alive” and there will be a series of talks and activities held over three days where the public can meet book authors. Also, there are drawing contests and craft workshops to keep the little tykes busy. A highlight of the fair is a scheme called Project 1319 which is aiming to assist youths aged 13-19 in acknowledging the importance of realizing their goals through self-discovery. And hold it, there’s also good news for NTUC members, who have a 75% discount for school merchandise.
Admission is free.
