Expanded Lunch Offerings at Maggie Joan’s

Stockyard striploin, gremolata & anchovy butter

Hot on the heels of the opening of Gemmills, the familiar folks at Maggie Joan’s are set to up their CBD lunchtime game. Spice up your corporate lunch with new starters like tuna tartare, black olive, & red pepper ($17), while substantial mains like the 400g stockyard striploin, gremolata & anchovy butter ($82) and the housemade parpadelle pasta with lamb ragu ($28) will keep you fueled for the rest of the working day.

JAAN x Mark Moriarty

Charred whole celeriac

Pellegrino Young Chef of the World 2015 Mark Moriaty will be teaming up with JAAN’s Chef de Cuisine Kirk Westaway in participation of World Gourmet Summit 2016. Their collaboration will yield a special five-course lunch ($128++ per person) and eight-course dinner ($258++ per person) from 11-14 April 2016.

Featuring sustainable and quality seasonal produce, guests can expect dishes like Brittany pigeon paired with truffled barley for lunch and Moriarty’s winning dish from the competition – blowtorch-charred whole celeriac marinated in an Irish-style miso made of cooked pearl barley and fermented hay, and topped with hazelnuts – for dinner.

Farm to Fork at Colony

Love pork on your fork? You’re in luck ‘cause the folks at Colony will be bringing in the finest Iberico ham by the Laudes as part of its cold cuts selection on the buffet line for the month of April. Priced at $78++ per person and available Sundays to Thursdays 6.30-10.30pm, the Farm to Fork dinner series at this heritage cuisine buffer restaurant enhances the dining experience by bringing sustainably sourced or farmed produce to consumers.

Antoinette Launches More Lava Croissants

Charcoal Kaya Croissant

Hot on the heels of the salted egg yolk lava croissants, then the chili crab croissants, Antoinette’s Chef Pang has launched three more variations ($6++ each) of the flaky pastry oozing delicious centres. The Charcoal Kaya Croissant uses their housemade Queen’s Kaya, while the other two are classic flavours of the East and the West – Matcha (green tea) and Quatre Fromages (four cheese – aged Cheddar, Gruyère, Parmesan and Mozzarella) respectively.

Antoinette is located at Penhas Road, Sofitel So, and Mandarin Gallery. The croissants are available at Penhas Road from 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends. Available at Mandarin Gallery and Sofitel So from 12 noon daily.

Chir Chir Rolls Out New Dishes

Honey Butter Chicken

Besides being able to get your Korean fried chicken fix at 2am in the morning at Chir Chir’s latest outlet at Chinatown Point, this KFC (get it?) chain has come up with another way to enjoy the chook – the Honey Butter Chicken ($28.90). More non-chicken alternatives making their debut on the menu include Spicy Seafood Soup ($26.90) and Spicy Topokki ($15.90).
