Gaggan Anand Restaurant Launches New Summer Menu For Post-Lockdown Feasting In Bangkok

With Bangkok easing into its COVID-19 lockdown relaxation, dining spots are reopening like blooms after a long drought. And there’s no question that Bangkok’s starved gourmets are about to get a feast – at least where chef Gaggan Anand is concerned.

The second act of longtime Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants star Gaggan, Gaggan Anand Restaurant dishes up playful riffs on Indian cuisine in his signature emoji-led format. With usual prices per head starting at THB8,000++, splurging is called for here – but it’s a happy price to pay for glorious creations like Lick It Up V2.0 (a rainbow-coloured spice explosion on the tongue) and Lord Of The Rings (a course consumed entirely from your middle finger).

When this fine-dining restaurant reopens its doors on 1 June 2020, guests can look forward to an all-new Summer Menu, featuring 18 courses at an incredibly pocket-friendly THB5,000++ per pax. Chef Gaggan isn’t spilling the beans on specific dishes for now, but a dose of his trademark irreverent brilliance is a given, along with the best of seasonal produce. For those enjoying their food-gasm in G’s Spot – the highly-coveted chef’s table – you can opt for a wine journey (THB3,000++) to pair. On weekends, an eight-course lunch menu is also available to the tune of THB2,000++ per pax.

Thanks to social distancing measures, the restaurant is only taking bookings for 20 seats per day – which means you’ll have to act fast to snag your spot. We suspect chef Gaggan’s phone is ringing off the hook already.

Gaggan Anand Restaurant is located at 68 Sukhumvit 31, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana, Bangkok 10110. Daily dinner seatings start at 5.30pm or 6.30pm, while weekend lunch seatings start from 11.30am. To make a reservation, call +66 98 883 1022 or email reservations@gaggananand.com.
