Singapore Cocktail Festival 2020: Cocktail Exploration and Inspiration for the Holiday Season

Singapore Cocktail Festival (SGCF) is back for its sixth edition next week! From 1 November to 31 December 2020, expect every conceivable concoction you could dream up — and then some. This festive season will see four different headline experiences for you to explore and drink to your heart’s content.

SGCF City Takeover

Origin Bar & Grill

21 different bars, 21 different bespoke cocktails. Each of the 21 participating bars in the SGCF City Takeover will share a signature cocktail (S$25++ each, S$18++ with Festival wristband) inspired by its neighbourhood. Cocktail bar Manhattan pays homage to Orchard Road’s history as the site of spice gardens and fruit orchards with its Orchard Express, a whisky-based spiced milk punch. Explore other intriguing signatures from Bugis to Gillman Barracks from bars like Origin Bar & Grill, Bar Stories, and Hopscotch in this City Takeover.

SGCF City Takeover is happening from 1 November to 30 November 2020.

SGCF On Wheels

If the pandemic has made you a homebody who likes to enjoy your cocktails from the comforts of your home, you’re in luck. Most of the cocktails on offer in the SGCF City Takeover will be available online for delivery (S$18 each). SGCF On Wheels also brings you three Celebration Bottled Cocktails (S$50 for a 300ml bottle) in partnership with Hendrick’s Gin. These customisable creations can be personalised for weddings, birthdays, or festive gifts; that’s your Christmas shopping sorted.

SGCF On Wheels is happening from 1 November to 31 December 2020.

SGCF On Tour

Andrea Gualdi from Maybe Sammy

Even if you aren’t able to travel, your tastebuds can still take a tour of some of the best bars around the world. Four limited edition tipples (S$45, 300ml bottle) are crafted according to recipes from Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou, Maybe Sammy in Australia, Indulge Experimental Bistro in Taipei, and Tropic City in Bangkok. Even better: guest bartenders from these bars will be conducting online masterclasses to impart some of their mixology mastery onto us.

SGCF On Tour is happening from 1 November to 31 December 2020.

SGCF x Pisco Nights

SGCF keeps the spirit of wanderlust alive with the Peruvian national cocktail, presented in a range of inventive renditions at participating bars in Singapore. Stay tuned to see the varied and exciting takes on this grape brandy that bars like Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall, Barbary Coast, and Jekyll & Hyde come up with.

SGCF x Pisco Nights is happening from 1 December to 31 December.
