SingapoRediscovers Vouchers: All You Need To Know About Redemption (and Tips for Booking Discounts)

It rather feels like Christmas come early this December, courtesy of the Singapore Tourism Board. Our long-awaited SingapoRediscovers vouchers have arrived, and from now till 30 June 2021, all Singaporeans aged 18 and above can redeem S$100 in tourism credits to stay, play, and more. If you’re gearing up to book your (much-needed) dose of fun, here’s a refresher on how redemption works – plus a couple of booking discounts we’ve sussed out.

How to Redeem Your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers

Your S$100 vouchers are redeemable in denominations of ten, only via five online booking platforms: Changi Recommends, GlobalTix, Klook, Traveloka, and Trip.com. To check that the product you want is available for redemption, look out for listings marked with the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers icon on these platforms.

Redemption is a breeze – once you’ve chosen your staycation, tour, or attraction ticket, checkout your cart and click on the ‘Use SingaporeRediscovers Vouchers’ button. You’ll then be prompted to log in using SingPass. Choose how many S$10 vouchers you’d like to use, copy the voucher code generated, and paste it in the checkout page.

Redeeming With/For Others

It’s important to note that your vouchers can’t be pooled with others – only one individual’s vouchers can be used for a single purchase. Needless to say, resale and transfer of vouchers are also out of the question. It’s about supporting as many local businesses as we can, after all.

If you have family members below 18 years old, you won’t need to leave them out of the fun. Adults can redeem up to six child and youth tickets, each subsidized at S$10 off. This applies only for tours and attractions, and you’ll need to declare your family member’s details during checkout.

With almost 200 hotels, close to a hundred tour operators, and dozens of attractions on STB’s current list of approved merchants, spoilt for choice is an understatement. Think indulgent staycays to get away from the grind, tours on everything from kampongs to the film industry, and thrills at the likes of Universal Studios Singapore and Wild Wild Wet. What’s not on the redemption menu are cruises and dining purchases – unless they’re part of a package offered by approved merchants.

Stretching Your Dollar

With so much fun to be had and a mere S$100 to spend, you’re probably wondering how to make every dollar count. While you can expect a slew of deals rolled out by hotels and tour companies, a few booking platforms are joining the fray with blanket coupons and discounts.

Klook, for one, has already kicked off an exclusive staycay promotion – if you’re booking a hotel stay via Klook with at least S$50 SingapoRediscovers vouchers, you’ll win yourself S$50 off your next hotel booking. UOB cardmembers can enjoy additional discounts of S$5 off with a minimum surplus spend of S$30, and S$20 off with a minimum surplus spend of S$100.

Meanwhile, Traveloka has announced plans to reward users redeeming SingapoRediscovers vouchers with additional Traveloka coupons, valid for future hotel and attraction purchases through the whole of 2021. DBS/POSB cardmembers can also snag a return voucher with every purchase on Traveloka – more details to be released soon.
