Christmas Eve Dinners in Singapore 2020: Festive Feasts To Enjoy With Family and Friends

It’s so close to Christmas that we could just smell it; the scent of roast meats, mulled wine, and the comfort of family. While this year’s Christmas Eve dinner might be a smaller affair than we’re used to, that doesn’t mean it can’t be just as grand. Check out these seven places for some truly yummy festive feasting in Singapore.

Wolfgang’s Steakhouse

This institution started as a Park Avenue establishment in New York City over 15 years ago, and has now grown to a 19-strong global brand serving up outstanding dry-aged steak all around the world. Their Christmas Set Menu (S$188++ per pax) foregrounds roast meats like the USDA Prime Porterhouse Steak and Honey Baked Ham, accompanied by hearty sides like Pumpkin Mashed Potato and Vicky-Style Carrots. Tipplers will also enjoy their selection of themed cocktails like the refreshing Ginger Mule — think a gingery bubbly — and Santa’s Cane, a peppermint and cream concoction.

Marriott Cafe

It’s always an exciting gastronomic journey at Marriott Cafe, and it’s no different this Christmas. Their 3-Course Christmas Set Dinner (S$108++ per pax), inclusive of free flow wine and beer, pays homage to beloved Christmas classics like succulent Slow-Roasted Turkey with caramelised chestnuts, Brussel sprouts, and cranberry jus and Roasted US Angus Striploin with Yorkshire pudding and Madeira Gravy. Aside from delicious starters – think seafood platter and truffle-infused wild mushroom and chestnut soup – and delectable desserts, also look forward to slices of juicy Maple Glazed Ham Leg from their Live Station.

Cassia

This contemporary Chinese restaurant is nestled in Sentosa’s Capella Hotel, celebrating the best of regional Chinese flavours. Their Christmas Dinner Menu (S$158++ per pax) is a sumptuous spread, a six-course love affair of Cantonese and Christmas classics. Feast on comfort classics like Baked Lobster with Garlic and Cheese as well as Canto favourites like Braised Bird’s Nest with Crabmeat in Superior Broth. If you love the vino, go for their four-glass wine pairing, which features premium tipples like Billecart-Salmon Brut Réserve NV and a 2017 Louis Jadot Bourgogne Chardonnay.

Fat Prince

This Modern Middle Eastern joint might not be where you’d expect to find a great Christmas dinner, but Fat Prince’s unique take on festive fare is a must-try. The Christmas Special Set Menu (S$98++) allows you to enjoy a mezze, a main, a side, and a dessert, plus a glass of cava to start. Festive specials on the menu include Flame Grilled Argentinian Red Prawns with Green Gazpacho and Spiced Roasted Duck Breast with Caramelised Endive and Pumpkin Puree. Feeling thirsty? Cheers the holidays with their specialty cocktail Hold The Pudding (S$25++), featuring a signature pudding-infused rum.

Edge at the Pan Pacific brings a festive twist to the new normal of the a la carte buffet experience with their Christmas Eve Dinner Menu (from S$158++ per pax). Apart from the regular pan-Asian fare, enjoy classic favourites like Roasted Turkey Breast with Caramelised Apples and Crusted Almond as well as a tender Honey Glazed Gammon Ham with Pineapple Chutney. Their decadent dessert spread is perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth, featuring everything from chocolate log cakes to a classic Christmas pudding.

The Spot takes lux to a new level with their indulgent 8-Course Eve Dinner (S$128++ per pax). Available both on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, enjoy Executive Chef Lee Boon Seng’s Southeast Asian-inspired take on contemporary European fare. Starters and appetisers like Market Vegetable Tart with tomatillo jam and Lime Coconut Kingfish pave the way for hearty mains like Deep-Fried Grouper and Pine-Smoked Wagyu Petit Tender. To bring everything, opt for their four-glass wine pairing (S$30++).

Chico Loco

For a Christmas feast that’s a little unconventional but all delicious, head to Chico Loco. This restaurant from The Loco Group delivers us classic Christmas fare with their signature Mexican spin in their new Mexmas menu. Enjoy roasts like the Traditional Herb Marinated Turkey, which takes a trip to Mexico with a generous drizzle of mole sauce, a cinnamon-chilli-chocolate concoction that adds a spicy but heady sweetness to the classic dish. While their menu is available a la carte, opt for the Loco Mexmas Dinner (S$135) which comes with a main and three sides to enjoy a classic communal Christmas.
