5 Things to Do This Week In Singapore: 2nd to 8th November 2015
PUBLISHED November 2nd, 2015 12:27 am | UPDATED June 23rd, 2020 08:23 pm
Welcome in November with wine and spirits as DFS brings you its 5th edition of MOWS, or catch Anthony Burgess’s A Clockwork Orange on stage for the first time in Singapore. Need to move it? Dance your night away to Darius’ infectious House music, and then again early next morning at the Movember Morning Rave, finally finishing up the weekend at an experiential market with food, retail, and music!
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
Banned for over 30 years, the all-male cast version of A Clockwork Orange makes its debut for the first time in Singapore. Directed by Alexandra Spencer-Jones, this testosterone-filled physical theatre ‘horror show’ exquisitely captures and transcends the spirit of Anthony Burgess’s original literary masterpiece, more than 50 years on from its publication. A Clockwork Orange is the story of the psychopath protagonist Alex DeLarge and his Droogs. Watch them get high at Korova Milkbar and embark on a spree of ultra-violence before going through the state prison and being caught in between the government and the opposition.
A Clockwork Orange is running from Wednesday, 4 November 2015 to Sunday, 8 November 2015 at the Esplanade Theatre. Tickets are priced from $68, and can be purchased at SISTIC. For more information, check out the ABA Productions Facebook page .
