THE STEVE MCQUEENS
The Steve Mcqueens’ music is jazz infused neo-soulfunk, a groove-based hybrid of tight arrangements and freely improvised sounds. Since debuting at the Sultan Jazz Club in 2013, the group has been honing their chops on established local stages the likes of Marina Bay Sands, Esplanade, Singjazz Festival, Mosaic Music Festival, and most recently, Jazz in July. The sensibilities of musicians akin to James Brown, Erykah Badu, Amy Winehouse, Brad Mehldau and Robert Glasper come to mind when you hear this band hailing from sunny Singapore.
THE POWDER ROOM
The mezzanine of The Black Swan encloses an intimate cocktail lounge, The Powder Room. Serving up aged whiskies, craft cocktails and an addictive array of supper treats, The Powder Room is an ideal enclave for memorable evenings, late night tipples and well-deserved repose after a long day.
