AN EVENING WITH WILLAM BELLI

Step aside, ladies and gents, Willam Belli is in town and she’s ready to take over the island!

Willam (as his youtube account declares, no extra “i”) is a quick-witted queen known for a sharp tongue and a love of labels (when it comes to fashion anyway). Prior to his stint on Drag Race, Willam’s career was more of an actor than of a traditional drag queen. Best known for playing transsexual “Cherry Peck” on FX’s Nip/Tuck, he has had various guest spots on television shows such as Southland, CSI: NY, My Name Is Earl, Criminal Minds, and Boston Public.

He also has appeared in numerous feature films including American Wedding, Because I Said So, Tower Heist, and Cinema Verite. A dynamite live vocalist and fine purveyor of smooth sax magic, Willam was also a member of the Cali-based band TranzKuntinental.

Most recently, Willam has begun a foray into viral videos with the song “Chow Down (At Chik-Fil-A)” (w/ Detox and Vicky Vox) reaching over 4 million hits, and “Boy Is A Bottom” sky-rocketing to over 14 million hits on YouTube. He has formed a successful drag band, DWV, with Season 5 contestant Detox and fellow queen Vicky Vox. They have released a string of parody/comedy songs, such as ‘That Christmas Song’, ‘Silicone’, ‘Blurred Bynes’ and ‘Gaycation’. Willam’s music career has also produced solo songs such as ‘The Vagina Song’ and a duet with Rhea Litre, ‘Let’s Have a Kaikai’. One thing’s for sure; the rule-breaking spitfire is one to watch!

When not writing about lifestyle and culture, he dabbles in photography, graphic design, plays four instruments and is a professional wearer of bowties. His greatest weakness: spending more money on clothes than he probably should. Find him across the social world as @grimlay
