A 35-acre area of shopping heaven, Chatuchak (or JJ, as the locals call it) Market is THE number 1 market that you should head to in Bangkok. Prices will depend on your haggling skills, although the amount of merchandise available is near-limitless. A definite must-go especially if its your first time in Bangkok.

Directions:

Take the Sky Train (BTS) to Mo Chit station, take exit No. 1, then turn right till you see a small entrance that leads into the market (clothing section). Or you could take the subway (MRT) to Chatuchak Park station (exit No.1), then walk till you reach a small entrance that leads into the market (clothing section). For the plant and flower section, get off at Kampheng Phet MRT station (exit No. 1).

Opening hours: Fridays: 6pm to Midnight. Saturdays and Sundays: 9pm to 6pm. Plant sections are open on Wednesdays and Thursdays: 7am to 6pm.
