An Assortment of Keto-Friendly Desserts from Happy Low Carb Time, Baker X’s Upcoming Resident

Next in line to take up residency at Baker X is Happy Low Carb Time (@happylowcarbtime). From 8 January to 28 February 2024, savour an array of delicious yet guilt-free treats from the resident baker.

During her residency, Lucy Asnum presents an assortment of keto-friendly desserts such as Royal Keto Chocolate Feuilletine Cake ($9.50 per slice) that is made with Valrhona and Lindt dark chocolate, constructed with keto Sachertorte layered with chocolate ganache and keto Feutilletine, and finished with chocolate glaze. The Lychee Rose Cake ($9 per slice) is studded with juicy lychee bits, frosted with layers of light, pillowy fresh cream infused with fragrances of lychee and rose, and adorned with rose petals and and whole lychees atop piped Chantilly cream. Fudgee Cupcake ($5.50 each) is made with Valrhona cocoa powder, and the rich and moist cupcake is topped with keto fudge. Reminiscent of the traditional dessert, Orh Nee Tart ($8.50 each) features creamy yam paste, fragrant shallot olive oil and blended shallots on a tart base.

Other hallmark offerings include her bestselling nut-free Ondeh Ondeh Roll ($7.50 per slice), Signature Molten Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($15 per slice), and a selection of savoury bakes such as her Cheesy Curry Chicken Pizza ($5 per slice) and Garlic Butter Cream Cheese Bun ($7).

Newly launched at Baker X, the Pandan Orh Nee Cake ($9 per slice) combines pandan chiffon and fresh mascarpone whipped with yam paste, paying homage to local flavours and recalling traditional orh nee desserts. Her range of new cake flavours also includes Matcha Chocolate Cake ($9 per slice), Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake ($9.50 per slice) and Lychee Jelly Basque Burnt Cheesecake ($9 per slice).
