halo x kapok: official singapore launch party

Come 19th June, newline’s halo capsule collection will be exclusively available at [kapok](https://www.facebook.com/KapokSG) flagship at National Design Centre.

Famous for fashioning the first functional running suits ever out of parachute fabric in 1981, newline still uses today the same innovative approach when designing new running styles. Functionality and comfort remain the main focus, and today the company still designs the danish army forces workout gear.

Halo- high altitude low opening- is the result of a new collaboration between newline and rasmus storm and malkit singh. the collection pays tribute to newline’s founder and legacy. Inspired by the eponymous parachute jumping technique used by danish special forces, halo is taking functionality and urban style to the next level, resulting in the new generation of contemporary sportswear.

The collection offers a range of outerwear such as flight jacket and anorak – an updated version of the very first design made for the danish special forces, as well as pants, tights, shorts, tops and a backpack. They have all been made with technical materials, without forgetting style. the color palette is also reminiscent of the traditional forces gear, from the signature burgundy to black and camo print.

‘running is a lifestyle and we believe that function and fashion should be combined.’

This event will take place on Friday, 19 June 2015, 6pm – 9pm at Kapok Singapore. Free admission to all. For more information, please see [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/events/1589217198015772/).
