Multi-Platinum Pop-opera quartet IL DIVO returns to Singapore
for a one night only Musical Affair!
Multinational operatic pop group Il Divo is back with a new Broadway-themed world tour this 17 March!
When the phenomenal Il Divo was honored at the Classic Brits at the Royal Albert Hall last year, their Artist of the Decade award attested to the unrivalled success the four have enjoyed since they first announced themselves to the world with their self-titled, multiplatinum debut album in 2004.
The record-breaking classical crossover quartet, consisting of Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, baritone Carlos Marin from Spain, the French pop artist Sebastien Izambard and tenor David Miller from the USA, first came together in 2003 from an exhaustive search by the music producer Simon Cowell to find four singers of distinctive individual gifts who could, as a group, create musical magic.
Il Divo is the world’s first and most successful classical crossover group. The foursome have sold over 26 million albums worldwide, achieved over 50 number one records, received 160 gold and platinum sales awards in over 33 countries and staged four groundbreaking world tours.
Despite their spectacular successes at every stage, Il Divo remained true to their artistic mission: to share with the world their passion for music, and their passionate belief in it as a unifying force.
Last performed to rave reviews in Singapore back in 2009, the original and most popular operatic quartet will return to our shores with a brand new Broadway musical inspired album and their richest, most dynamic and diverse concert tour!
This year’s album and complementary concert series marks a milestone for the four singers as they commemorate the success of a 10-year career together. Be enthralled by their voices with the enchanting music from the world of popular Broadway musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Carousel, West Side Story and many more!
