My life with Mozart is a fantasy with text and music, adapted from the novel by the French famous writer Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt., Performed in French with English surtitles.
Ma vie avec Mozart is a timeless correspondence between the author and the famous Austrian composer.
Fourteen excerpts from Mozart’s works amongst operas’ arias (The Mariage of Figaro, Cosi fan Tutte or Magic flute) Concerto Music (Violin concerto n°3, Piano Concerto n°21), religious music (Et incarnatus Est) or chamber music (Eine Kleine Nacht Music) we will be played during this 1h45mins performance with intermission.
Troughout his life, Mozart’s pieces will help the author heal his personal wounds and question the meaning of life and love: “Love beyond love”.
When he feels the Viennese Master’s music and understands its origins he undertakes an initiatory journey.
The dialoge is clear, precise and flows freely. The author asks the questions. The Music provides the answers.
After a huge success of the premiere in Singapore last September, My Life with Mozart / Ma vie avec Mozart is staged again with Quentin Bernard. Music will be performed by students from the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (8 musicians – Vocal and String Quartet) and the outstanding Singaporean pianist Lim Yan.
“Quentin Bernard, the only actor on stage, delivers us a high-level performance. But it will not amaze those who have already seen him evolving on stage both in the role of Cyrano and in the play Yes, Ma’am”. (The Singapore Mini News)
