Norwegian Seafood Promotion with Restaurant Ember and Snorre Food

In collaboration with Snorre Food, Restaurant Ember proudly presents a Norwegian Seafood promotion with Chef Sufian Zain hosting Norwegian chef, Markus Dybwad for a three day dinner-only promotion from 28th to 30th May 2015; a menu that will mostly feature dishes highlighting the best of Norway’s seafood as well as dish or two from Chef Sufian’s new menu.

Both chefs, who used to work together at Iggy’s will create dishes that highlights the quality and freshness of the seafood. Guests will be treated to a delicious assortment of fresh fish and shellfish from the seas of Norway, renowned for their taste, quality and flavours. The menu will be a combination of dishes by each chef and a highlight on the main course; the Halibut collaboration by the both of them.

The well-traveled Chef Markus Dybwad built his culinary career in various European cities and even Singapore (including Equinox and Iggy’s) before taking on the position of Junior Sous Chef at The Fat Duck, a three Michelin star restaurant by Heston Blumenthal in Berkshire, UK. Chef Markus’s current role as Chef Ambassador for Snorre Food is to actively advocate the use of the premium seafood from the cold, clear waters of Norway.

Chef Sufian began his culinary career at restaurants like Les Amis and Beaufort Hotel’s The Cliff Restaurant before landing his first executive position at Iggy’s. Later, Chef Sufian joined Waku Ghin’s founding team in 2010 as Sous Chef and eventually Executive Sous Chef, witnessing the restaurant clinch 39th position in the list of the World’s 50 Best Restaurants as well as 2nd of the Top 20 Restaurants in Asia in the 2013 edition of the Miele
Guide.

Since its opening in 2002, Restaurant Ember consistently strives for perfection and prides itself on providing quality food and creating unforgettable dining experiences for its customers. Restaurant Ember’s influence is the mark it leaves on its customers with slight but significant interpretations of European cuisine that lean towards a lighter, more ingredient-focused menu.

As importers of seafood from Europe’s largest fishing nation, Snorre Food is renowned for bringing in Norway’s freshest and finest seafood to Asia, with a vast variety from the sea including offerings such as salmon, deep water prawns and king crabs, just to name a few. They are currently on of the leading suppliers for premium cold water seafood in the market, with a clientele mainly consisting of major airlines, hotels, restaurants and distributors.

The event will take place from 28 – 30 May from 7pm onwards at Restaurant Ember.

Dinner will cost $120++, and $170++ with wine pairing.
