Reading Centhini – Suluk Tambangraras (Path of the Boat of Soul)

Serat Centhini, the book, is steeped in ambiguity. Consisting of 12 volumes, it covers everything about life in Java, from its history, politics, culture, spirituality, economy and society. But overall, this book is about a journey of life that is experienced by every single person in this world. Serat Centhini has two main characters – Amongraga and Cebolang. These two main characters run away from home for different reasons, but undergo the same journey to finally go back home.

Reading Centhini is happening from Thursday, 8 January to Saturday, 10 January at 8pm at The Substation.
