South Korean Poet Lee Yong-han was enthralled by the stray cats living in his neighborhood. They like to loiter in his area and he would see them often. One day, he decided to record their daily lives in pictures, and subsequently gave the cats names, such as ‘Bessie’ and ‘Blossom’. The pictures were published in a book entitled ‘Bye Kitty, and Thank You’.
Commercial film director, Yun Ki-hyoung stumbled across the book in the library and was fascinated, as there were also a lot of stray cats in his neighborhood. And so, he began to follow the poet’s footsteps, capturing the cats’ lives on film and giving them names like ‘Darth Snooze’, ‘Sweetness’ and ‘Thundercat’.
This documentary relates the gradual change in the two men as they learn about the stray cats in their neighborhood and seek out the views of other South Koreans regarding the feline neighbours that roam their streets.
The shows will start at 7.30pm. Tickets are available at the Arts House [event page](http://theartshouse.com.sg/Programmes/EventPage.aspx?EventID=3637).
