Till the 9th of August this year, Orchard Central promises ambrosial treats with its own Sweet Surprises @ OC. As the name suggests, the spotlight for this year’s food festival falls on desserts.
For the first time ever, Orchard Central collaborates with Janice Wong, Singapore’s very own celebrated dessert chef and two-time winner of Asia’s Best Pastry Chef in the Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Revel in the unique experience where the marriage of food and art comes to life in a ‘Sweets Tunnel’, a magical floral garden featuring Wong’s unique and engaging edible art creations and gastronomical installations, available exclusively at Sweet Surprises @ OC.
Spanning 10 metres by 3 metres, the tunnel features a night vision of a garden with luminous fixtures that promises to encapsulate the fanciful and whimsical vibe synonymous with Janice Wong’s brand of dessert artistry.
Head down for an Edible Art Session every Saturday on the 18th and 25th of July, and 1st and 8th August at 3pm and 6pm (admits 150 pair of tickets per Saturday). For admission tickets to the tasting session, spend any amount at OC in order to redeem a pair of tickets. For the dessert aficionados, Janice Wong will also be holding Live Art Sessions on 25 July and 8 August at 4pm.
In addition, Orchard Central is delighted to welcome renowned French-inspired Japanese patisserie, Henri Charpentier, as one of the anchor vendors at OC Dessert Walk Marketplace! This is the first event booth by the famed patisserie and fans can look forward to a delectable feast of sweet treats for the most discerning palates. It will join other dessert vendors such as Les Delice, DEAN & DELUCA, Milagro Spanish Restaurant, Janice Wong Pure Imagination and many others at L1 Discovery Walk.
