Noodle Bowls for Lunch at Morsels
Modern Singapore cuisine, known colloquially as mod-sin, gets a boost at Morsels, where a menu refresh sees the introduction of noodle bowls for lunch. Boasting her signature fusion flavours, chef-owner Petrina Loh and her team whips up highlights such as Wild Sri-Lankan Tiger Prawn Noodles ($25++) with prawn-based broth, glass noodles and ajitsuke egg, and Herbal Duck Tsukemen ($25++) featuring somen with slow-braised duck leg. All bowls are served in a set with an appetiser, and are on rotation with changes every week.

Get Festive with Japanese Confectionary Yoku Moku
Have a buttery afternoon tea with Japanese confectionary Yoku Moku, as they make their Singapore debut with two pop-ups ahead of its flagship store opening January 2018 in ION Orchard. Their signature hand-crafted Cigare butter cookies are one of the few highlights at both pop-ups, which begins this week at ION Orchard from 1 to 31 December 2017 and the week after at Takashimaya from 4 to 25 December 2017 – just in time for the gifting season of Christmas and New Year’s.

Bottoms Up: Tippling Club’s Dreams and Desires Cocktail Programme
Known for their award-winning cocktail programme, Tippling Club continues to awe with the introduction of the world’s first edible menu in Dreams and Desires, an all-new series of 12 drinks conceptualised by head bartender Joe Schofield and chef- owner Ryan Clift. Pick your cocktail of choice through taste – each concoction is represented in a gummy, infused with flavours and scents associated with a dream or desire, such as a lemon-honey one for Happiness ($24++, honey, yuzu, lemon, orange, tequila) and Coco Chanel perfume for Lust ($24++, peach, tonka bean, vanilla, champagne).

A Choux Puff Fix at Ollella’s New Takashimaya Outlet
Choux specialist Ollella rings in the festive season with a new store at Takashimaya, their second after the original Petain Road boutique. The new spot features the fan favourite Choquette in an all-new salted caramel flavour, as well as their signature line of kueh lapis, macarons, mini-choux and ice cream choux. Their puff selection also sees a new flavour – the Strawberry Champagne mini choux, joining existing flavours of Dark Chocolate, Lemon Meringue and Lychee Rose, with Christmas snacks rounding out the offerings for the season.

Crackerjack’s New Set Lunch
The midday meal at Crackerjack has been reincarnated as a Set Lunch, featuring soup of the day, a main course and soda – all made in-house – at $19++. Available from 11.30am to 2.30pm on weekdays, hearty mains include the meaty Chermoula Chicken, lighter Kimchi Salad with Chicken and vegetarian Lentil Mushroom Scotch Egg. Wash them down with house-made soups such as Broccoli with Roasted Garlic Cream Soup, and sodas such as Grape Jasmine Tea Soda and Hibiscus Soda – a satisfying meal great for recharging those batteries before sloughing on.
