Even as we chew on fresh tidings of vaccinated travel lanes, we’ve got a world of cuisines to tuck into in Singapore this week as well. W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is taking us globe-trotting with a limited-time itinerary of bites and tipples, while La Dame de Pic is bringing us the season’s best from Asia and Europe. Meanwhile, lazy Sundays are looking a lot brighter with Casa Restaurant’s eclectic brunch menu. Did we mention there’s free-flow bubbly?

La Dame de Pic Welcomes Autumn in Exquisite Taste

Tulakalum Chocolate

To ring in autumn, iconic French restaurant La Dame de Pic has a symphony for all your senses. Crafted by new Chef de Cuisine Francesco di Marzio, the seasonal Elegance (S$338++) and Experience (S$248++) menus marry French flair with inventive Asian touches. Madame Pic’s world-famous Berlingots – stuffed pyramid-shaped pasta in matcha dashi – get a refresh with smoky ‘leekobushi’, while sweet blue lobster from Brittany is served on sushi rice with a kick of Madras curry. For dessert, expect show-stoppers like Tulakalum Chocolate – a confection of green pepper panna cotta and peppermint mousse.

All Aboard for Tipple Adventures at WOOBAR

Travel is finally taking off again, and W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is serving up a taste of the adventures to come. W Hotels has teamed up with LUXE City Guides to curate travel guides for guests at nine destinations, from Bali to Osaka – but if you aren’t jet-setting just yet, how about a cocktail flight instead? W Singapore’s WOOBAR has crafted a limited-time toast to each of these nine destinations, including the beach-worthy Bali Ballin’ as well as Made In China, which features the first-ever Chinese craft gin (from S$18 per cocktail). To pair, tuck into creative bites like MakiMaki (S$18), a sushi that rolls together WOOBAR’s house favorites.

Brunch With Friends at Casa by Remy Lefebvre

What’s better than brunch? Brunch with friends, of course. Over at Casa Restaurant, Chef Remy Lefebvre is taking lazy Sundays up a notch with a four-course Sunday Brunch With Friends (S$198++ per pax), inclusive of free-flow champagne. The menu showcases his brand of woodfired cuisine and eclectic flavours, starting with fun snacks like the Caviar & Roe donut and moving into succulent sharing meats such as Marron Lobster with kampot rice. But that’s not all: Chef Remy is bringing his own friends to the feast as well. Each Sunday will see one industry friend dishing up signature exclusives alongside the month’s curated menu.

Drink Eco-Friendly with Moonraker Brews

Hopheads have one more thing to cheer about with Moonraker Brewery’s debut in Singapore. Brought in by Smith Street Taps Trading Co., this award-winning Sacramento brewery stands out for commitment to sustainability – they even use a solar-powered electric boiler for brewing. Earth-friendliness aside, their hop-heavy beers are known for being pretty damn tasty too. The Moonraker Papillon Hazy IPA (S$28, 473ml) offers creamy mouthfuls of pineapples and baked peaches, while the tropical Moonraker Sling Jaw NEIPA (S$27, 473ml) is brewed with flaked oats added to the grain bill for a silky mouthfeel.

Pao Fan Gets a Sichuan Kick at Sichuan Alley

Poached Rice with Barramundi

Pao fan has been seizing the culinary spotlight in Singapore lately, and the newest chef to whip up a rendition of this comfort dish is Chef Pang Kok Keong. His Sichuan Alley has just launched a poached rice series with a hot and sour twist. Each belly-warming bowl features spices flown in from Sichuan, mixed grains like pearl rice and red quinoa, and a rich chicken stock simmered for eight hours and packed with tangy pickled vegetables. For something hearty yet healthy, you couldn’t do better than the Pickled Vegetable Soup Poached Rice with Barramundi (S$13.50).
